UW Huskies from A to Z is second in book series

SEATTLE, Aug. 28, 2013 /PRNewswire/ — Green Beanie Books is announcing its newest book in a series of beautiful historical picture books of universities, featuring the University of Washington. UW Huskies from A to Z showcases everything 'Husky,' with little-known facts about the university, its alumni and legendary athletes. Authors Kristi Ascani and Leinora Stuart uncover the stories behind well-loved Husky icons, such as the history of the Quad and the landmark Yoshino cherry trees, the rise of Washington's crew team to be a perennial powerhouse, and even the inventor of the modern treadmill, Wayne Quinton, a pioneer in the field of bioengineering.

UW Huskies from A to Z features historical photos of campus and renowned alumni, as well as beautifully illustrated drawings by the father-daughter team of watercolor artists Stephan Moss and Naphtali Morden.

This is the second book featuring fun and unique historical university facts released by Green Beanie Books.
