Grand European Tours celebrates 30 years of escorted touring by introducing an included private town-car airport transfer service to their travelers

LAKE OSWEGO, Ore., June 15, 2009 — This 2009 travel season marks Grand European Tours’ 30th year of escorting travelers around the world in style. As part of the celebration, they’ve added even more luxury features to their already first-class tours, including a private town-car escort from your front door to the airport.

This “VIP Door-to-Door” airport transfer service was introduced as an included service in January 2009, making Grand European Tours the first travel provider to offer this additional service. “The idea,” explains Hans Sohlstrom, the President of Grand European Tours, “was to complete the leisurely experience for our travelers by offering an escorted beginning to our escorted tours.” From 31 departure airports nationwide, travelers are now met at their front door by a chauffeur who assists them with luggage before transporting them directly to their airline terminal.
