SAN DIEGO, Sept. 14, 2007 — San Diego-based equipment leasing firm Five Point Capital announced today that co-founder and co-CEO David Gilbert was honored as one of San Diego’s "40 Under 40" highest achieving business and civic leaders. Trevor Klein, Vice President of AutoAnything, nominated Gilbert for his entrepreneurial vision and community service. Gilbert, along with 39 other business executives under 40 years old, were recognized by the San Diego Metropolitan magazine at the Eighth Annual 40 Under 40 awards banquet on September 11th, 2007. Over 400 attended the luncheon at the San Diego Convention Center. A portion of the proceeds from the event benefited the YWCA and its important programs, including Becky’s House for battered women and their children.

David Gilbert was raised in Yorba Linda, California. He received his B.S. degree in Business Administration with emphasis in Entrepreneurship from University of Southern California in 1997. He resides in Rancho Santa Fe, California.
