Extensive Military Education Resources Added to U.S. News University Directory

A new section of the nation's premier education portal provides vital information to veterans and active-duty military personnel seeking an education

TAMPA, Fla., May 8, 2013 /PRNewswire/ — The U.S. Military provides a number of education benefits to active-duty and retired members of the armed forces.  Taking advantage of those benefits can prove difficult and confusing, causing them to frequently go unused or underused.  Now, U.S. News University Directory provides comprehensive military education resources, designed to help both veterans and those currently serving to make the most of the GI Bill and other programs.

Members and veterans of the Army, Navy, Air Force, Marine Corps, Coast Guard and National Guard, as well as their spouses and dependents, can find important information on all of the education benefits the military provides.  This includes Tuition Assistance (TA), the Post-9/11 GI Bill, the Montgomery GI Bill (MGIB), the Montgomery GI Bill – Selected Reserve (MGIB-SR), Survivors & Dependents Assistance (DEA) and many other programs.

"U.S. News University Directory has been publishing news articles and other content about military education benefits for years," said Matthew Speer, Director of Sales and Marketing for U.S. News University Connection.  "But we wanted to take the next step and create a comprehensive library of information about these programs, and our new military education resources do exactly that.  Members of our armed forces make huge sacrifices on our behalf.  We're honored to offer them our support when they decide to pursue a certificate or degree."

The military and veterans education resources are just the latest content added to U.S. News University Directory.  The portal also provides information on degrees and certificates in dozens of subjects, as well as news, video and career profiles.  In addition, U.S. News University Directory is home to the Best Colleges, Best Graduate Schools and Best Online Programs rankings from U.S. News & World Report.
