ROCKVILLE, MD - Sept. 25, 2001 — Altvia Technologies, Inc. (”Altvia”) of Rockville, Maryland today announced that the EMP Financial Advisors, LLC (”EMP-FA”) has selected Altvia to develop and host e-Learning solutions for its clients.
In an effort to further understanding of the financial and economic opportunities present in emerging markets, EMP-FA is implementing Web-based e-Learning strategies. Altvia is developing e-Learning courseware focusing on financial products and issues related to emerging markets. Two courses are presently under development and the companies are exploring the development of several more.
The topics of the courses contain specialized content of interest to investment bankers and emerging market fund managers. The first course explores the role of emerging market borrowers tapping the international markets through securitized bond issues. Pensions privatization in emerging markets and the resulting opportunities for international fund managers is the focus of the second course.
