Veterans Better Equipped for Job Hiring Process Thanks to August Employment Webinar Series from the Disabled Veterans National Foundation

WASHINGTON, July 19, 2013 /PRNewswire/ — The Disabled Veterans National Foundation, a non-profit veterans service organization that focuses on helping men and women who serve and return home wounded or sick after defending our safety and our freedom, is pleased to announce the next installation of the Veterans' Employment Webinar Series.  Beginning in August, the series, called "Vet Empowerment," will be a three-part series that will enable veterans to have a better outlook when seeking employment.

The webinars will venture into the science of the mind and discuss how jobs will find veterans after they learn how to use their best attitude and performance.  The webinar will also address how to capitalize on "Vet Power" when applying for civilian jobs or becoming an entrepreneur.

The three sessions are: Vet Power and Vet Equity, The Science of Reinvigorating Your Vet Power, and The Power of Mind—How to Leverage and Maintain Vet Power.  The facilitators of "Vet Empowerment" will be Jeff Garton, Frank Campanaro and Dick White from VetPower.org.  Garton is the former head of global staffing for Kraft Foods and Miller Brewing, and President of Career Contentment Inc.  His passion is to find why some people are more successful than others when looking for jobs and why some keep theirs longer than others.

Frank Campanaro is a service disabled U.S. Army Ranger and the CEO of Trillacorpe Construction, which Inc. Magazine has recognized as one of the fastest growing private companies in America.  He is also the founding partner of VetPower.org.

Dick White is a service disabled U.S. Army veteran who, after graduating from Artillery Officer Candidate School, served in the Republic of Viet Nam with the 101st Airborne Division. He is an active member of VetPower.org's Board of Directors.

"Confidence and self-assurance are traits that veterans have as a result of their military training," said Precilla Wilkewitz, President of DVNF. "Somewhere between military service and civilian life when looking to find a job, many lose that confidence. We think this is a unique approach to helping veterans get that confidence back."

The free webinars will take place on the Wednesdays of August 14, 21 and 28, and all will begin at 1pm EDT. To register, visit .
