New company, Deltalok USA, will offer unique permanent and green building material for vegetated walls and slopes
FERNDALE, Wash., March 18, 2009 — Deltalok, the inventor and worldwide distributor of Deltalok green building materials currently operating in Korea, China, Singapore, UK and Canada, announced today the launch of Deltalok USA.
The Deltalok system is a unique combination of a soft bag that can be vegetated and a patented locking mechanism that enables the construction of mechanically stabilized structures of any scale. It is ideal for walls and slopes. Deltalok is particularly well-suited for stream bank erosion repair because, unlike hard solutions, it does not heat the water. Additionally, vegetated Deltalok installations provide nutrition and habitat for fish.
“Our company’s products are a new alternative for builders, landscapers, engineers, and property owners who previously have had to choose between temporary biodegradable solutions or earth-scarring hardscape solutions. Deltalok USA is building its headquarters, manufacturing, and staging facility in Ferndale, WA and is hiring a nationwide sales team. Deltalok has been approved by the Washington State Department of Ecology for slope protection and the company will be seeking similar credentials for all uses in the 50 US states.
