GRAND JUNCTION, Mich., June 1, 2009 — Nathan Baylor presided over 200 funerals during his time as a country pastor in Montana and Michigan. In “Overcoming The Fear of Death” (published by iUniverse), he helps everyone understand the best way to find comfort in such difficult situations.
Baylor shares many stories both from his own personal experience as well as from the Bible about how to overcome a tough time for so many. Much of this can be accomplished, according to Baylor, in the ageless teachings of the Bible.

“This book is about God’s love and compassion and I have tried to explain what the Bible teaches about death and the after-life.”
Baylor also shares his thoughts on near-death experiences as well as the difficulty that Christians have dealing with suicide and how God perceives it. He also gives some tips for those that struggle with death and especially the funeral. As one example, he encourages people to seek out their local funeral director and make a visit to the funeral home to help you gain a clearer understanding.
Funerals, as Baylor discusses, are for the living and actually have developed into a time of happiness where loved ones can show their love and respect for those left behind. But, as he points out, dying is one thing that we all have in common and something we will all come in contact with during our lifetime.
