Creators of the Popular Free iPhone App 'Chaikin Power Tools' Expand Office Space in Philadelphia

Chaikin Stock Research Increases Local Footprint Three-Fold in Seven Months

PHILADELPHIA, May 16, 2011 — Chaikin Stock Research, creator of the popular Chaikin Power Tools free iPhone® application, has expanded its office space at the Foremost office building by 300%. The move accommodates a growing staff dedicated to developing a suite of professional investment decision-making tools for self-directed investors. The company launched its first product, an iPhone application, in mid-March and immediately rose to #1 position in iTune's App Store for "New and Noteworthy" Finance Apps. The application has been recommended by Barron's, featured in The Philadelphia Inquirer, covered by more than two dozen media outlets around the world and remains in the top five percent of apps downloaded in the "Finance" category at the App Store.

Later this month, the firm is slated to launch its next product, a desktop application or "widget," which brings the functionality of the mobile version of Chaikin Power Tools to the laptop/desktop environment.

"It has been a very fast start for us," says Marc Chaikin, CEO of Chaikin Stock Research. "I have created software for Wall Street banks for decades, but this endeavor of putting professional tools in the hands of individual investors has been the most exciting. The demand for the tools is high and the desire of very talented individuals to work with us to accelerate the growth of this venture continues to be very strong."

Chaikin Stock Research recently completed a $1 million round of "angel funding" to raise capital for expansion and development. The company has hired Philadelphia-area staff to fill positions as product managers, research assistants, and developers familiar with Apple's mobile operating system.

Chaikin Power Tools is available through the iTunes App Store(SM) for use on iPhone®, iPod touch® and iPad™. For more information or to download the app, visit http://www.chaikinpowertools.com/.
