Contractor Joseph Armato Commits to Building Awareness of The Fresh Air Fund for Kids

The Fresh Air Fund provides free summer experiences in the country to inner city children

CITY ISLAND, N.Y., Aug. 15, 2013 /PRNewswire/ — Joseph Armato, owner of Nationwide Contracting, has been providing clients with successful building and contracting solutions for over 25 years. What most don't know is that, in addition to his normal building projects, he is also committed to building dreams for children by supporting and promoting The Fresh Air Fund that provides kids from the inner cities with the opportunity of summer trips to the country that they could not normally afford.

As Armato explained, "For over 25 years, I have been on countless outdoor job sites, reconstructing residential and commercial buildings throughout the city – including the inner cities. During the brutally hot summer months I have seen firsthand how underprivileged kids have nothing more than an occasional running fire hydrant to keep them cool, and provide some sort of outdoor recreation. Most of these kids live in cramped and crowded tenements, with no air conditioning. Their families cannot afford to send them to summer camps, join beach clubs, or even have the resources to go on vacation. So when I heard how The Fresh Air Fund provides these kids with FREE summer trips 'to the country,' I knew this is what I wanted to commit to." This is not the first philanthropic endeavor by Joe Armato.

Armato continued, "The Fresh Air Fund allows these kids living in low-income communities to get away from hot, noisy city streets. For families and their children who are less fortunate, these 'summer outings' mean the world to them. And they make a difference in their lives."
