Cleveland Art Opens Its Doors in Los Angeles Warehouse District

The Design Community is invited to peruse the unique vintage industrial design collection

LOS ANGELES, April 23, 2008 — Specializing in repurposing vintage, industrial artifacts into functional design, Cleveland Art announces the official opening of its West Coast store and showroom. Located in the Barker Block Lofts in downtown Los Angeles, Cleveland Art houses a unique collection of recycled industrial design, unique objects and custom lighting, designed exclusively for Cleveland Art by founder and designer Jason Wein.

Turning industrial salvage and machine parts into furniture, light fixtures and accessories for the home, office and retail environments, Cleveland Art transforms unused items from our industrial past into functional art. Featured pieces include industrial-inspired carts, tables, cabinets, hand-blown glass lighting, seating and shelves.

"After servicing New York City and other locations across the Northeast from our Cleveland headquarters, we thought it was time to take our collection to the West Coast," said Jason Wein, Creative Director of Cleveland Art. "A creative epicenter of fashion and design, Los Angeles is the perfect landscape for our modern, vintage and sculptural furniture."

Receiving numerous accolades from the design industry, Cleveland Art has been featured in publications including Apartment Therapy, Architectural Digest, Blueprint, Country Living, Elle Decor and Metropolitan Home. Customers include architects, interior designers, hotels, restaurants and retail stores across the United States and abroad.

Store hours are Monday and Tuesday by appointment, Wednesday through Friday 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. and Saturday from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. The warehouse gallery is located at 523 South Hewitt Street, Los Angeles, CA 90013.
