Clear Standards Wins ‘Best New Venture’ at Financial Times and JustMeans Social Innovation Awards

WASHINGTON, March 10, 2009 — Clear Standards, Inc., the leading provider of enterprise carbon management and sustainability solutions, was among a select group of companies honored at the inaugural Financial Times (FT) Sustainable Business Conference on March 2nd in New York. The event was the chosen venue to announce the FT and JustMeans Social Innovation Awards, to recognize companies that have implemented or enabled programs to promote social and sustainability best practices in business.

Clear Standards won best new venture in the startup category, in recognition of the innovative solutions the company has developed to help organizations become more sustainable through carbon emissions measurement and reduction best practices. Other award winners included REI and Proctor & Gamble in the large company category. The award was sponsored by Hewlett Packard, and presented by Bonnie Nixon, HP’s Director of Environmental Sustainability. Christopher Dee, Vice President of Sales at Clear Standards, was on hand to accept the award on behalf of the executive team.
