ALPHARETTA, Ga., Jan. 3, 2007 — Civitium, LLC, the market-leading consulting firm for municipal broadband and Digital Community initiatives, has been retained to provide advisory services for the City of Chicago’s community wireless broadband project. Chicago, the nation’s third largest city, announced its intent in 2006 to form a public-private partnership to deploy a citywide wireless broadband network.

The City has retained Civitium to provide advisory services on strategy, policy, technology, proposal evaluation and negotiation with the selected proposer to the City’s RFP.
