NEW YORK, Nov. 9, 2006 — Information Management Network (IMN), a division of Euromoney/Institutional Investor, announces the 11th annual Super Bowl of Indexing. The conference will take place at the Biltmore Resort & Spa in Phoenix, Arizona, on December 3-6, 2006. This invitation-only program is the largest of its kind in the world and one of the industry’s most prestigious.
IMN’s speaker faculties always include the world’s leading experts and practitioners in the fields, and this is taken one step further at the Super Bowl of Indexing. This year’s program premieres a debate on equity securities valuation between Burton Malkiel, professor of economics at Princeton University and author of "A Random Walk Down Wall Street," and Jeremy Siegel, professor of finance at the Wharton School of the University of Pennsylvania and Senior Investment Strategy Advisor at Wisdomtree Investments, Inc. Malkiel supports the widely used capital asset pricing model, and Siegel is in favor of fundamental factors such as earnings and dividend payouts. This year’s Super Bowl is also honored to feature Madeleine K. Albright, former Secretary of State and distinguished American Diplomat, as a keynote speaker.
At this year’s conference, approximately 600 public plan executives and representatives will be in attendance to discuss the turbulent geo-political influences on our investment markets. Several of the world’s leading academics in the fields of index derivatives, risk management, and investment management research will be on hand with their expert advice for getting through this risky time unscathed. The expert speaker faculty, the industry-specialized concurrent sessions, and the second annual William F. Sharpe Indexing Achievement Awards are all powerful draws for the senior executives of the largest public plans in the country.
A limited number of complimentary press passes will be granted prior to the event. For more information on applying for a press pass or featuring this event in your publication, please contact Erica Kirwan of IMN at 212-901-0546.
