Bestnet A/S Releases New Educational Song and Two New Videos to Celebrate World Malaria Day 2012

KOLDING, Denmark, April, 25, 2012 — In keeping with their yearly tradition of creating new educational materials for World Malaria Day, Bestnet A/S announced today that they are releasing a new song and two videos to help educate those most in danger from malaria and other vector-borne diseases.

"World Malaria Day has been designated as a chance for all of us to make a difference in the fight against malaria. At Bestnet, we are very excited by the new educational aids that we have created to celebrate World Malaria Day 2012," said Trine Sig, Bestnet Director of Sales & Marketing.

"The first tool is a recording and video of a new song, 'A Child Like Me.' It is a completely original and upbeat tune that was written and performed acapella by Amani Mfaume and Boniphace Mwile, pupils at Matumaini School, Tanzania. The boys have created a wonderful song that informs others about the importance of sleeping under a long lasting insecticide incorporated mosquito net  (LLIN). And we are excited to share the boys' very generous and entertaining gift with millions of people around the globe," continued Sig.

The second educational tool is actually an expansion of the original educational program that Bestnet developed last year in celebration of World Malaria Day 2011. The program includes a basic lesson plan, a large poster that illustrates the life cycle of malaria and teaches simple steps that can be taken to prevent malaria. These materials are accompanied by a series of original graphic illustrations to convey these messages. Furthermore, it is an interactive program that includes an engaging classroom project that demonstrates the life cycle of malaria.

Last year Bestnet conducted a week-long campaign to educate hundreds of children on five continents that sleeping under Netprotect® Long Lasting Insecticide Incorporated Mosquito Nets can save lives. As a result, many hundreds of children have been taught about the basic life cycle of malaria and about the value of sleeping under a Netprotect® LLIN to protect themselves and their families from this deadly disease which claims the life of a child every 45 seconds. Bestnet has been delighted to learn that educators around the world have chosen to present this lesson plan and look forward to this program continuing to be incorporated into classrooms and other malaria education efforts throughout the world on a year-round basis.

To create the videos, "Bestnet was very fortunate to have the talented Marie Billegrav Bryant to record and produce a video of the song 'A Child Like Me,' as well as to record and produce a video of the malaria educational program being conducted at The International School of Tanganyika, Tanzania," said Sig. She continued, "We are excited to be able to offer both videos and all educational materials for download on our company website at http://www.bestneteurope.com. In addition, a limited number of DVDs containing the videos and materials are available by request."
