Gary Traynor, MBA, JD, to steward company's financial operations and strategy as it continues rapid strategic growth and expansion into new markets globally
NEW YORK, June 17, 2011 — BA Insight, a leading provider of integrated search technologies for Microsoft SharePoint and FAST, today announced the appointment of Gary Traynor as the company's Chief Financial Officer. In this role, Mr. Traynor will direct the development and execution of BA Insight's financial growth strategy and oversee the company's accounting, internal reporting, and investor relations activities while also managing the company's legal matters. With over 15 years of experience as both an investment banker focused on the technology space and as senior management for technology companies, Mr. Traynor will leverage his expertise and insight to help BA Insight execute its next phase of responsible growth, engage new markets around the world, and continue to build its global team.

Prior to joining BA Insight, Mr. Traynor served as the COO & CFO of Blue Flame Data, Inc., a provider of enterprise software used in customer preference analysis delivered through a cloud platform. While at Blue Flame, Traynor architected and managed the company's restructuring and growth following its Series B funding round. Traynor also previously served as CFO of Portero, guiding the provider of Internet fulfillment services from its initial founding through two venture private placements. Prior to his role at Portero, Mr. Traynor served as a Vice President of Technology Investment Banking at Morgan Stanley, where he focused on capital raising and M&A activities primarily within the Internet services sector. A native of Minneapolis, Minnesota, Mr. Traynor holds a BSBA in finance and accounting from Washington University in St. Louis, a JD/MBA from the University of North Carolina, is a member of the New York State Bar Association, and is an avid mountain biker and rower.
