Award-Winning AC / Country Artist Jimmy White Contributes a Moving Single to the Bella Moss Foundation's Benefit CD, 'Bands 4 Bella'

BUFFALO, N.Y., March 30, 2011 — Award-winning AC / Country artist Jimmy White has been a pet lover for many years and recently was honored to contribute a song to a benefit CD that was very close to his heart.

White contributed his heart-felt single "Good Friends are Hard to Find" to the "Bands 4 Bella" benefit CD that has just been released by the Bella Moss Foundation. This CD is a compilation of songs from 17 recording artists from the Buffalo, NY area. These artists each contributed a song to this project to encourage donations to the Bella Moss Foundation.

White wrote "Good Friends are Hard to Find" for his cat, Smoke (a.k.a Smokerboy), whose companionship and unconditional love brought White through some major milestones, both high and low, in White's life.

Though Smoke passed over 15 years ago, he left a profound mark on White's life and his absence is felt daily. Smoke's story is told here:

"Bands 4 Bella" is a benefit CD made up of 17 recording artists from Buffalo, New York. The artists that make up this CD contributed a song each as a gift for donating to the Bella Moss Foundation.

The Bella Moss Foundation was started by UK dog owner Jill Moss after the death of her Samoyed dog, Bella, from the highly infectious MRSA bacteria. The Foundation's mission is to provide education and save lives with early detection of infections in animals. Their uniqueness is in their work to bridge the gap between human and animal medicine and they work to improve knowledge of antibiotic-resistant infections in companion animals and livestock.

BMF collaborates with leading practitioners and universities to facilitate continuing professional development (CPD) seminars for veterinarians and nurses. In addition they host international scientific meetings for people working in the field of epidemiology and surveillance of diseases affecting companion animals and livestock. Their CPD seminars and conferences help medical professionals keep updated on their clinical knowledge on infectious diseases.

For pet owners, they offer support and advice on caring for infected pets and preventing unwanted infections in animals. Their clinical advisors are happy to have informal discussions with doctors and vets on the management of cases; this intervention directly helps to save the lives of animals.

The Bella Moss Foundation is a UK Registered, not-for-profit charity that relies solely on donations. http://www.thebellamossfoundation.com/
