About the Authors

Pamela Ivey founded The Budding Ivey Foundation. Raised in Roselle, NJ and graduated from Central State University, Wilberforce, OH with a BS Degree. Pam's a member of the National Association of Professional Women, Mesquite Club and serves on the HOA Board of Directors at Turnberry Place. She authored the children's book Mom! I'm Special and has written several short stories. She lives in Las Vegas, her leisure time consists of bowling, reading, serving on church ministries, travelling, and spending time with her two adult children, Phil and Cheyanne.

Akua Clark is living her dream – travelling the world. With two continents left to visit, her dream is becoming a reality.  Raised in Jersey City, NJ and graduated from Rutgers University, Newark, NJ with a BS and a MS from Stevens Institute of Technology, Hoboken, NJ. She lives in Raritan, NJ and is employed by a Fortune 500 company as a project manager. Akua is a current recipient of the President's Volunteer Service Award. She spends her time volunteering for non-profit organizations and mentoring young ladies. She is a widow and has one daughter Ja'neen and two sons, Andre and Damon.
