As a certified reading teacher, I spent over 30 years working to help ALL my students to read better. Given the ever-increasing needs of today's workplace, it is important to raise the level of literacy for all students, not just those having difficulty. Unfortunately the recent changes in education have actually cut into the elective reading classes, often eliminating them totally. In 2004, I left teaching to start Optimum Reading, a business dedicated to improving the reading skills and fluency of children, adolescents, and adults. I have selected what I believe to be the best combination of assessments, programs, and technology available. Our online programs have proven to cause an average improvement of 1.8 grade levels, and the improvement in visual efficiency is usually well above that!
