Pursuit Of Power was originally created as a studio project by La Porte, Indiana guitarist Martin McCann to release powerful original Hard Rock/Heavy Metal/Power Metal with vocals. On July 29th, 2012, recording began on our second CD, "Sacra Metallum," which features twelve original songs. Aside from founding guitarist Martin McCann and original vocalist Steve Mullican Jr., this release also features four new musicians - a second guitarist, Shane “Guitarber” Garber, bassist Mike Richards, drummer Dave Eskridge on seven songs, and drummer Al Droomok on five songs. Mostly influenced from listening to melodic European power metal, Pursuit Of Power was conceived in 2009 when guitarist Martin McCann began building Audio Moments Recording Studio in his home. He did all of the writing and playing of the instruments himself, and then brought in former band mate Steve Mullican Jr. to do all of the vocals. On January 17th, 2012, Irish Shred Records released Pursuit Of Power’s debut CD titled "Across The World." It contained nine originals and a remake of the Krokus song Russian Winter. Pursuit Of Power had several positive reviews on metal websites and metal webzines and made fans all over the world. One thing that is different on the second CD is the writing. Whereas guitarist Martin McCann entirely wrote all of the original songs on the debut, a total of five writers are credited with the lyrics and music on the new one including an outside lyricist, the late Dave Pursch (R.I.P.) who wrote eight of the songs with guitarists Martin McCann and Shane Garber. Steve Mullican Jr. and Mike Richards also have writing credits on the new cd. These new musicians and new writers add a fresh new dimension to Pursuit Of Power.
