Author Nancy Dutton Announces Book of Animal Poetry

BOULDER, Colo., Nov. 23, 2009 — Boulder, CO-based author Nancy Dutton announces the new Book of Animal Poetry, poems and haikus about cats, dogs and horses she has known and owned.

“The unconditional love of animals relaxes and soothes me,” says Dutton, who has worked with animals for years and loves to write pet poetry and lyrics. Her articles on pet health have appeared in magazines and newspapers.

The front and back cover of the book are illustrated by Boulder, CO-based artist Mike Brouse. His paintings capture the essence of Dutton’s words. The inside of the book is filled with photographs of animals.

Cat rescue expert Roberta Peters says, “Touching glimpses into the deepest feelings the author has had for the pets in her life, with heartwarming pictures on almost every page. A nice gift item for a loved one who has a new pet … or a comforting gift for someone who has lost one.”

Dog owner Kathy Fregelette says, “I plan on purchasing more of these for gifts this year. Each time I pick it up I find a ‘new’ favorite poem and picture. The poems in memory of beloved pets are especially comforting and dear.”

A book for animal lovers or all ages, the Book of Animal Poetry is available on Dutton’s website and Amazon.
