Argus Trusted Desktop (ATD) – An Advanced Multilevel Security (MLS) Windowing System for Securing MS Applications

SAVOY, Ill., Jan. 26, 2009 — Argus Systems Group announces the Argus Trusted Desktop (ATD) for Microsoft(R) applications. ATD comprises a fully integrated, multilevel, multi-compartment operating system and windowing system that permits complete interoperability between all running applications, restricted only by the protection constraints imposed by coalition, cross-domain, and label security policies.

Subject to your organization's information security policy, the ATD allows multiple instances of Microsoft applications to be run in different security classifications. The advanced multilevel security (MLS) windowing system and underlying operating system allow multilevel cut-and-paste as well as file sharing based on system security policies for data sharing. The underlying operating system is based on Solaris 10(R) and has been accredited by DISA.

Additionally, the ATD supports all required labeling functionality, including on-screen labeling, file system labeling, printer and print job labeling, and network resource labeling.

Argus will be attending AFCEA West 2009 at the San Diego Convention Center from February 11-13. Stop by our booth #819. We will be demonstrating the Argus Trusted Desktop (ATD) for running Microsoft applications.
