IRVINE, Calif., May 18, 2005 — AnyDATA Corporation announced today that its newest CDMA product, the iPORT EMIV modem, has been approved for use on the Verizon Wireless network.
As a turn-key standalone modem, the EMIV can be used for those wireless applications needing a direct connection for data transmission. Features include the RS232 interface for sending commands and data, GPSONE capable, Mobile IP/Static IP, a fully functional internal TCP/IP stack, and a snap-in package for easy installation. The iPORT EMIV can transmit and receive wireless data on the Verizon Wireless CDMA network in one of three ways: asynchronous dial-up service, short message service (SMS), or 1XRTT packet data service. Solutions that currently use CDPD technology can easily migrate to Verizon Wireless’ NationalAccess service with very few modifications.

Typical applications for the iPORT EMIV include telemetry monitoring solutions, automatic vehicle location (AVL) services, wireless ATM machines, and PC-based controller functions. Many new location-based service offerings are already being developed with the iPORT EMIV in mind to handle the GPSONE functions that will be required.
