IRVINE, Calif., May 23, 2006 — AnyDATA Corporation today has announced that the DTEV dual modem module has been approved for operation on the Sprint wireless EV-DO network. The DTEV dual CDMA EV-DO module is a complete modem that OEM device manufacturers can build into their new devices that require the speed of EV-DO technology for optimum operation. With network burst speeds up to 2Mbps, EV-DO enabled devices will introduce a whole new suite of high-speed applications to the marketplace. These might include a video download device, large Internet file downloads, and enhanced standalone GPS location services. The DTEV dual development kit tools provided by AnyDATA further expedite the process of getting those new devices quicker to the marketplace.
Features of the DTEV dual module include a USB interface to achieve maximum EV-DO data speed, GPIO interface pins as well as a LCD and keyboard interface, GPSONE, and receive diversity. Because of the low pricing for this module, it becomes an easy choice to select the DTEV dual module to do the job.
"This certification approval now paves the way towards allowing device manufacturers to offer their devices to operate on the Sprint EV-DO network" said Ed Huelsman, Vice President of Sales and Marketing for AnyDATA Corporation. "Adding the Sprint approval to the DTEV dual module along with other approvals from worldwide carriers greatly expands the marketplace for EV-DO data products in the US."
