IRVINE, Calif., May 12, 2003 — AnyDATA Corporation (www.AnyData.net) today announced that Verizon Wireless has certified two AnyDATA CDMA wireless products for use on its network. The products receiving certification are the DT2000 CDMA wireless module and the iPORT EMIII dual mode CDMA wireless modem.
The DT2000 CDMA module is targeted at OEM manufactures who require embedded CDMA modems in their wireless applications. The iPORT EMIII is a standalone CDMA 2000 wireless modem with a RS232 interface deployable without any further certification. The iPORT EMIII is compatible with most solutions requiring external wireless CDMA data transmission.
Both products transmit and receive wireless data on the Verizon Wireless CDMA network in one of three ways: asynchronous dial-up service, short message service (SMS), or 1XRTT packet data service.
Verizon’s certification of AnyDATA’s CDMA module and modem is the latest in a group of 41 CDMA carriers in 25 countries using AnyDATA’s products on their network. "The certification by Verizon Wireless is indicative of the quality built into every CDMA product manufactured by AnyDATA for CDMA carriers around the world," said Ed Huelsman, Senior Director of Sales & Marketing for Verizon U.S.
The DT2000 modules and iPORT EMIII are optimized for seamless deployment in OEM applications, including PDA and wireless access terminals, traffic light and outdoor lighting controls, wireless point-of-sale, credit card terminals, real-time data acquisition via wireless Internet, industrial robot control, wireless parking meter control, mobile object location positioning, wireless remote alarms, security monitoring systems, wireless elementary systems, and remote environmental monitoring.
"Like many products developed by AnyDATA, the DT2000 and iPORT EMIII are field proven and optimized for rapid deployment by OEM partners who have no prior telecommunications experience," Huelsman said.
