Travel agency offers free seminars to build professional agents’ expertise
SAN DIEGO, April 18, 2007 — America’s Vacation Center (AVC), one of the leading travel agencies in North America, today announced the upcoming Travel Executive Forum(TM) (http://www.TravelExecutiveForum.com) presented by Royal Caribbean International (RCI) executives Adam Goldstein, President, and Lisa Bauer, Senior Vice President of Sales, on April 24, 2007 at 9:00 a.m. PDT. The Webinar will be streamed live online from Europe aboard Royal Caribbean’s newest ship, the Liberty of the Seas.
Presented by America’s Vacation Center University(TM) (AVCU) and sponsored by American Express, the Travel Executive Forum series is meant to serve as an online venue for industry leaders to share their insight with travel agents across the globe.
The Travel Executive Forum featuring RCI will provide attendees with details of RCI’s newest ship, as well as tips on how to increase sales by using Cruising Power, RCI’s travel agent Web site, and highlights of the recently launched University of WOW.
"As the travel industry continues to grow and change, AVC has embraced the importance of training and coaching," said Brad Anderson, Co-President of AVC. "We are elated to provide all travel professionals with the unique opportunity to listen to insiders’ tips straight from the most respected executives in the industry such as Adam Goldstein and Lisa Bauer of Royal Caribbean International."
Bob Dickinson, President and CEO of Carnival Cruise Lines, presented the first Travel Executive Forum seminar in March 2007. The Webinar was extremely successful with over 1,000 registrants. At the end of the session, attendees answered a survey and one lucky travel professional, Amalia Gurdian of World Wide Cruises, won a free cruise on the Carnival Freedom.
AVCU has a number of monthly seminars lined up for the Travel Executive Forum including presentations with Steve Gorga, President of American Express Vacations; Dan Hanrahan and Dondra Ritzenthaler from Celebrity Cruises; and Andy Stewart and Terri Burke from Norwegian Cruise Line.
Up to 1,000 agents can register for the sessions on a first come, first served basis. For more information or to register for the Travel Executive Forum, visit http://www.TravelExecutiveForum.com.
