Gary Chin Assumes CFO Role to Take Ace Sushi to the Next Level of Growth
GARDENA, Calif., Feb. 24, 2009 — ACE Sushi (Asiana Management Group Inc.), the second-largest franchise sushi purveyor in the U.S., named Gary Chin as the new Chief Financial Officer effective January 1, 2009. Chin will assume the position as the company’s first official CFO. In this role, he will be responsible for overseeing the Accounting, Finance, Treasury, Business Development, Franchising, IT, and Human Resource departments.
Chin has been employed by ACE Sushi since February 2002. Most recently, he served as the company’s Controller where he managed both the Accounting and Human Resource departments. With the help of the entire staff, Chin’s involvement and knowledge thus far have been instrumental in building ACE’s national business.
Chin brings over 20 years of financial leadership experience in both the U.S. and China. Before ACE, he served as a senior project manager for a $2 billion investment firm with over 30 large-scale investments in China, and was responsible for establishing three start-up companies. In addition, Chin has held an audit management position at Deloitte for 7 years, and has been in charge of numerous initial public offerings, mergers and acquisitions. He holds a Bachelor of Science degree from California State University of Long Beach, with a double major in MIS and Finance, with a specialization in Investment. He received his MBA from the premier Hong Kong University of Science and Technology. Chin is also a member of the Vistage Group, the world’s leading chief executive organization.
