AccuFund's Latest Upgrade Features Significant Enhancements to Numerous Modules, Most Notably Budget Development, Allocations and Financial Report Writer

With the AccuFund Accounting Suite Version 3.08, AccuFund Continues to Add Time and Cost-Saving Capabilities That Offer Users More Flexibility, Convenience and Control With Developing Budgets and Processing Financial Data

NEEDHAM, Mass., June 29, 2009 — AccuFund, Inc., provider of financial reporting and accounting software for non-profit, municipal and government organizations, today announced the availability of Version 3.08 of the AccuFund Accounting Suite. This latest release features enhancements to many of the system's core modules, most notably Budget Development, Allocations and the Financial Report Writer, further enabling simplicity, greater speed and other benefits that ultimately result in additional time and cost savings.

"With the Budget Development module, we have added functionality that makes it comparable to the standalone products in the market, but it's priced affordably for our client base," stated Peter Stam, president of AccuFund, Inc.

The Budget Development module now offers the ability to conduct detailed planning at the monthly level, and to list budget detail in each account; for example, positions being funded in a particular department.

Budget Development also now stores account expressions, which calculate values based on other accounts in the worksheet; for example, a budget line-item based on demographics such as units of services or other units that can be defined. As a result, users do not have to be concerned with re-entering data. With Budget Development, users can lock a finished version of a budget at the monthly level and then start a new version.

Budget Development is now integrated with the Grants Management module in the AccuFund Accounting Suite, allowing budgets developed through Grants Management to be processed through Budget Development and then posted to the General Ledger. When budgets are being developed, the user can determine what areas of the General Ledger are going to be budgeted, whether the project is connected to Grants Management and what period it will post to in the General Ledger. A budget project can be posted to as few or as many periods as desired or across an organization's fiscal year.

The Allocations module has been enhanced to function more seamlessly with Budget Development and allow revenues and expenses to be allocated across all accounts in a project. As a result, users can see all expenses, including overhead, for all programs and departments in a budget project.

With the Financial Report Writer, AccuFund enables integration of financial data in the General Ledger with data in Budget Development, allowing managers to view the full history of data with budgets for all activities.
