7 For All Mankind Opening on Fifth Avenue NYC

7 For All Mankind's newest store is taking root in New York City's Flatiron District

NEW YORK, April 14, 2009 — 7FAM has once again turned to InSite Development Inc., and its design arm, 212 Design, Inc, an international design and project management firm, to pull the store together. Insite was retained two years ago to create and manage the 7FAM retail launch and has successfully completed 16 other domestic locations plus international shops in Dubai, Hong Kong, Brazil and the Philippines amongst others.

In a city full of high-end retailers, the 7FAM team was challenged to draw focus to the store while complimenting the look and feel of the Flatiron District on lower Fifth Avenue.

"Our goal was to design and build a beautiful store that would still allow the store to be financially effective in this market," said Greg Anderson, Designer and President of InSite. "This store is going to be a huge success, every day people stop and ask when they are opening."

Inside the store the finishes include two different tones of high gloss zebrano wood, white lacquered fixtures, polished grey marble floors, platinum blue fabric curtains, custom wall covering and 7 FAM's iconic hand-forged S-shaped blackened and platinum steel links.

The ceiling is designed with zebrano wood soffits in the shape of a seven and interconnected by floating polished stainless steel "bridges." Massive white marble denim tables below lead you toward the rear of the store where an oversized accessories "fireplace" fixture climbs up the wall and returns defining the seating area.

The landmarked Fifth Avenue facade has an oversized display window with black metal storefront framing and grey awnings. There are custom black chrome door handles embossed with a polished stainless steel "7." Inside the storefront and illuminated from above, a polished stainless steel logo is mounted on a zebrano wood back drop.

The store is located at 73 Fifth Avenue at 15th Street and opens the second week in April 2009.
