LEXINGTON, Ky., March 27, 2012 — The International Coach Federation (ICF) has opened nominations for the 2012 ICF International Prism Award. The award honors organizations that have enhanced performance standards and business achievement through their commitment to coaching as a leadership strategy.
"The ICF International Prism Award is the globally recognized embodiment of excellence for companies using coaching," said ICF President and Master Certified Coach Janet M. Harvey. "Prism recipients have stood above the rest in terms of their effective use of coaching and documented return on investment (ROI) and/or return on expectations (ROE)."
The nominating period for the 2012 Prism Award is being opened earlier than normal in order to maximize the time available for business and organizations to prepare their applications for nomination. This is also the first year in the history of the award that the nomination application process will be fully online, in order to simplify and streamline the application process.
Created by the Greater Toronto ICF Chapter, the concept of the Prism Award was adopted by the global office of ICF in 2005. Past winners include: BC Housing, British Broadcasting Corporation (BBC), Genentech, ibm.com North America, JOEY Restaurant Groups, MCI, NASA, Solaglas Windowcare, SYSCO Food Services of Canada, TINE Group, University of Texas at Dallas, and Verizon Business.
Coaches and organizations interested in nominating for the 2012 ICF International Prism Award can find more information – including the 2012 application form at http://Coachfederation.org/prism. The nomination period closes on July 20 at 5 p.m. (New York).
ICF Chapters also have the opportunity to be recognized for their efforts by submitting an application for one of two award categories being introduced in 2012: I Care For – Pro Bono Coaching Award and the Breaking Barrier Award.
Building on the successful I Care For branding initiative, the I Care For – Pro Bono Coaching Award directly supports the ICF's vision and values by helping all human beings flourish through access to professional coaching. The I Care for Award recognizes Chapters that have established a significant coaching presence in their communities. Awarded to Chapters that provide coaching free of charge/pro bono coaching to a population(s) that might not otherwise have access to it.
The Breaking Barrier Award will be granted to Chapters who demonstrate outstanding success in key areas such as: exceptional membership growth, innovative special events, creative strategic alliances with allied organizations, extraordinary fundraising efforts, impactful media relations programs, or other notable achievements or activities.
Chapter leaders may nominate their own Chapter or a fellow Chapter. Applications must be returned to ICF Headquarters no later than 5 p.m. (New York), August 1, 2012. More information is available at http://Coachfederation.org/awards.
