NetEqualizer Announces End-of-Year Demo Units for Colleges,
Libraries, Municipalities and Public School Districts
LAFAYETTE, Colo., Dec. 12, 2007 -- APconnections, a leading
supplier of plug-and-play bandwidth shaping products, today
announced plans to offer on-site NetEqualizer demo units to
North American colleges, libraries, school districts, and
municipalities.
Since the NetEqualizer was first released, the technology
has been implemented in public institutions across the
United States and the world.
Just a sampling of some customers already using the product
includes Loyola University of Chicago, MacCalester College,
Henderson Nevada Public Library, Warren Newport Library
system, Drew University, University of Tampa, Northern
Michigan College, Lewis University, University of Dallas,
City of St. Paul (Minnesota), and the City of Thornton
(Colorado).
NetEqualizer is in use by more than 1500 unique customers on
six continents.
"We switched to a NetEqualizer in 2006 after previously
using a high-end solution and have been very pleased with
the results ever since," said Derrick D'Gama, director of
Information Services at Lewis University.
"It immediately made our Internet better. People were able
to reliably surf the Internet," said Sean Hill of Henderson
Public Library, Henderson, Nevada.
"Last September, we offered a limited number of demo units
to universities only. The program was well-received by our
customers, so well in fact that our board approved another
round of demo units for immediate distribution. With this
latest offering, we are delighted to include all public
institutions," said Art Reisman, CEO of APconnections. "This
will give them an opportunity to try our technology going
into the new year."
The NetEqualizer is a plug-and-play bandwidth control and
WAN/Internet optimization appliance that is flexible and
scalable. When the network is congested, NetEqualizer's
unique "behavior shaping" technology gives priority to
latency sensitive applications, such as VoIP and email. The
technology allows customers to extend the life of their T1,
E1, OC3, DS3 or T3 Internet connections without purchasing
additional bandwidth.
Public institutions interested in testing a NetEqualizer
demo unit, or that simply have questions about the
technology, can contact APconnections at 1-800-918-2763 or
sales@apconnections.net.
APconnections is a privately held company founded in 2003
