Soul Travelers: New Paranormal Thriller Draws Readers into
the World of the Unknown
PRESCOTT, Ariz., Sept. 22, 2006 -- Author Delena Epstein
takes readers into the life of Marisa, a woman who leaves
her body involuntarily and must struggle to remember who she
really is while corrupt researchers try to control her in
the book, Soul Travelers (now available through
AuthorHouse).
Since childhood, a part of Marisa Sinclair leaves her body
and she finds herself a prisoner in the minds of a myriad of
people, watching life through their eyes. She has no control
over when these "visits" occur and no control over the part
of her that remains in her physical body. Unsure of her
sanity, her only two links to reality are her dog, Fred, and
her journals, where she documents everything that has
occurred in her life.
Returning from a "visit" one day, Marisa finds that
overnight her life has dramatically changed. Someone had
recognized her while she was in the host body and the part
of her left behind during the visit, desperately searching
for an answer, arranged to take part in a study at a Dream
Research Center.
Marisa travels to Pennsylvania with Fred and meets the
director of the center, Dr. Charles Malavazos. He gives her
hope, insinuating that he knows of other cases mirroring her
own. However, before he reveals any information he insists
on putting her through a battery of tests.
During the first test, Marisa experiences a horrific event,
witnessing violence beyond her understanding. A series of
mysterious events continue to occur, and Marisa begins to
wonder who she can really trust at the center. Among the
complications, Marisa discovers that she cannot remember her
childhood. Her only hope of survival is to find a way to
unlock her memory to reach beyond this world to remember
what she truly is. Time is running out, though.
