Peace, Love and Muscles - Can a Personal Trainer Change the World? Maybe This One Can

NEW YORK, NY - Jan. 21, 2003 -- Victor "The Natural" Costa, natural body builder, trainer, and author of Peace, Love and Muscles, explains, "I train people, not body parts." The book, available on www.amazon.com, and www.justbookz.com, and www.vicsnatural.com, aims to help readers build much more than muscle. Certainly, you could build plenty of it, if you adhere to Costa's workouts. In his book, he includes his personal workouts, one for the gym and one for the home without weights. However, don't call this another "body book". Although Costa's physique, which appears on the cover of his book, looks as if it is carved from the same stone as Michelangelo's David, he has much bigger plans for his readers and a much broader message than just pumped up biceps.

In this book, chapters are devoted to abandoning limiting behaviors, moving toward goals that are intimately of our own design, adopting a sincere purpose in our endeavors, valuing our individuality, and abandoning prejudice and hatred. Costa draws parallels between goal achievement and virtue. Costa explains that "prejudice and hatred create a toxic environment under which conditions nothing can survive, much less thrive." He continues, "I treat physicality as simply one aspect of the being, I have an obligation not to ignore what's most important, that being, 'the person inside the body'."

Furthermore, Costa believes he had a duty to write this book because he was tired of watching the public get ripped off, lied to, and misinformed by an entire industry that has us chasing the magic formula to physical success. He's disturbed by the obscene contradiction of muscle gurus preaching health and fitness while on steroids or other performance enhancing drugs. Costa calls himself "The Natural" to differentiate himself from those athletes. He explains, "Good things, substantial things, like fitness of mind and body, take time, some effort and require a plan." This book is that plan.

Costa began his personal training career by working closely with individuals who wanted to change their bodies, lose fat, gain muscle and slim and tone their physiques. His clients began to develop so rapidly, and their lives changed so dramatically in so many areas, that both client and trainer realized there was something going on that was more than physical. What Costa had been doing, was incorporating his own brand of education, motivation, and philosophy into his training sessions; instilling in his clients a belief system that is not only applicable to physical fitness, but to all areas of life. It was what Costa was saying to his clients between the exercises that made all the difference in their workouts and in their lives. Costa explains, "I attempt to return to my clients what they have lost or what others have taken from them, generally this means a belief in themselves." He continues, "I plant the seeds of belief again."

Well-spoken, educated, and optimistic, Costa's drug-free message, makes him a spectacular interview. The Press is invited to go to www.vicsnatural.com for an Extended Press Release, sample chapter, pictures and bio of Mr. Costa. A full review copy of Peace, Love and Muscles via PDF is available upon request. Mr. Costa thanks you for your interest.
