Legal Trip To Cuba Organized For Salsa Dancers

BOULDER, Colorado, Sept. 24, 2002 -- A legal workshop for those interested in learning salsa dancing in Cuba has been announced for Havana, Jan. 18-25, 2003. Organized by SalsaDanceCuba.org in collaboration with Global Humanitas Institute, the educational trip is licensed by the U.S. Department of the Treasury.

Featuring classes held at the National Theater in Havana with teachers who are current and former members of prominent dance companies in Cuba, the full-time workshop includes percussion, afro-Cuban movement, and contemporary salsa dancing.

According to Hal Segal, SalsaDanceCuba.org's president, "Salsa is now the hottest type of social dance, and this exciting program allows dancers of all levels (including beginners) to learn authentic Cuban style in the mother country of salsa dancing."

The program includes airfare from Miami, New York or Los Angeles, lodging for 7 nights, all meals, and all the dance classes. The all-inclusive package starts at $1,615, double occupancy from Miami, $1,995 from New York, and $1,975 from Los Angeles. All three charter flights are non-stop to Havana. Singles are provided with roommates if they are traveling alone and want to take advantage of the shared-room rate.
